Cath Face Painting is born.

Kids' world will always be filled with colours either colouring on papers, crayons on your walls or face painting on kids adorable faces.

For the love of children, Cath Face Painting is born. I'm blessed to have three daughters, one teen and two little girls whose imagination are so rich and they express this through colouring and drawings. I also experienced drawing on the walls, three different years and multiple times in life because I have three kids who sometimes loves to express their artistic side on our walls. I know how it feels to have their imaginations transferred on the newly painted walls with their innocent smiles and voices reasoning out why they did it. The next time you asked why your kids painted your walls, remember what Pablo Picasso said: "All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist as we grow up". The whole house will always be filled with colours of different kinds and colourful drawings in every occasions be it Christmas, Valentines Day, Mother's Day and a lot more.

Out of the blue, I was once asked by my youngest daughter if I can draw her a butterfly... on her face! I know she meant face painting. Working as a professional makeup artist, I already have the makeup to be able to create a butterfly her heart desires. With the help of my coloured cream eye shadow pencils her butterfly was achieved. She was so happy having a butterfly on her face. So happy that I have to negotiate to take it off before bedtime. I don't suggest that you do the same to your own child. I have all the professional products (safe and gentle products) to easily erase the makeup she has that fits a sensitive skin.

Many adults have to understand that an adult makeup we use for our daily beauty routine is NOT meant for all children because of ingredients concerns. Professional face painting products are the safest way to create face painting. This is why its better to go to professionals than experiment it on your own. It's better be safe than sorry. You never want to damage your children's beautiful faces just because of lack of knowledge on the products you're buying. Keep this quote in mind "You get what you pay for". Cheap products or service versus quality products and its long term effectiveness. My own daughters are also the one modeling my face painting creations and if I use it on my daughters faces I make sure its the best out in the market and its absolutely safe. Labels are important. It is not placed there for nothing. People have to understand they need to read labels.

With the new found joy in face painting, I've decided to add a professional face painting kit which is completely different to the beauty makeup world; which also means another expensive accumulation of makeup. It's always wise to buy the professional products than purchase a cheap one that doesn't work.

Face painting has its special way to capture the hearts of children. I trained to make my designs extra special and beautiful in the eyes of a child but I will never forget the first butterfly creation that captured the hearts of many children that I painted. Simple it may seems but it work wonders and with passion and practice it could be done in seconds and less than a minute.

My first ever rainbow butterfly using professional face paint.

I noticed kids love vibrant colors and they are attracted to rainbow colors. Because kids are great imitators, they wish to alter their looks, and attitudes according to the obsession they idealise. I've created different images such as butterfly, fairy, rainbow, flowers, princess, unicorn, and cat or tiger which are loved by lots of girls. For boys face paint designs, the most popular are pirate, spiderman, dragon, snake, batman, skull, monster and dog. With all those images that face painting beautiful colors could create, I can say kids world are indeed filled with colors. The joy face painting gives children is priceless. I find JOY in creating those colourful images on children's faces, their smiles are contagious.

Kids after kids, face painting after face painting there's only one thing that enough to keep me going, despite the long lines of kids and long hours of work, is that beautiful genuine smiles of adorable children are enough to brighten up the day.

With lots of practice my butterflies improved in time.

Here are some of my butterflies face painting designs.
